BOM options

I have listed all stores who have purchased packs on the ‘Stores’ page for your convenience. Those marked with a * have advised me of their full BOM programs including fabrics and monthly mailouts. Please visit each store to view what their prices and inclusions are.

Today I shall show you  Patchwork by Sea’s offerings as seen on their website:

Coming Soon. This Block of the Month is to be offered  in 2 different styles of fabric.

Jen is busy with needle and thread putting life to the stitcheries , while I have now started to assemble our 1st sample using a fabric range from Moda called Rural Jardine. This is a beautiful french reproduction fabric. While the sample is being made with a prerelease of these fabrics they will not be delivered into the shop until mid March. This quilt will be made in a “quilt as you go method”.

Option 2 will have more of a Japanese flavour to the fabrics with a range of fabrics from Stof called Japanese Lifestyles. Our sample for this quilt will be made in the conventional method. The fabrics are now in the shop and this version will be ready to go during January.

We will run this gorgeous BOM for 9 months and will be $42.50 per month plus postage. It comes as a journal format and includes: 40 colour pages, 32 black and white design pages, 2 covers, 2 hinged rings and is supplied flat packed. Everything needed to complete this quilt will be supplied,

You will receive

Journal set

Iron on transfers

All fabrics for the front and back of the quilt (32 FQ’s)

Background fabric

Sashing fabric

4 x Threadworx threads

Monofilament thread

Stitch & wash fusible

Glue pen

Matildas Own wool/ploy wadding

These photos are our quilt starting to take shape. The fabrics have been laid out to check the placement. Next the stitcheries are being applied to the blocks, while the photo on the bottom left shows a stitched block with the smaller circle stitched to the block on the right.  More photos will be published as the quilt progresses.

Life is Beautiful

Welcome to our blog for all stitchers taking part in the Life is Beautiful project. Whilst we are not quite ready (the pattern is not even printed!) I will slowly be working on the blog to have it ready and waiting for you when your local stores get their stock and you rush in to be the first to visit us. Content will be added over time. Please check back often and do drop by and say hi.
